How it plays

DigWorld screenshot: Walk and discover

1. Walk and discover

The map is covered by fog. Wherever you walk, it clears and shows what lies there: forests, quarries, ore, natives and treasure chests.

2. Gather and find

Gather what you stand next to, open treasure chests (the locked ones with a lockpick), and carry it all home.

3. Build your base

Research, build and craft, from a campfire to a city. Send workers out to gather for you while you are away.

4. Fight and grow

Your character gains levels and gear. Fight natives, rob other players' workers, attack bases with an army – or join an alliance.

Ten epochs

From flint and berries to steel, gunpowder, electricity, the atom and computers. Each epoch brings its own research, buildings, soldiers and resources on the map.

  1. Stone Age
  2. Bronze Age
  3. Iron Age
  4. Antiquity
  5. Middle Ages
  6. Renaissance
  7. Industrial Age

Made by one player, not a company

DigWorld grew for years from a plan of everything one player loved in years of playing games – and is now built, from the server to this page, by that same one person: Željko Bilandžija from Croatia.

Fair to everyone

No ads, and nothing that makes you stronger is for sale: no resources, no coins, no speed-ups, no army. Supporters get comfort – a queue for research and buildings, moving the base – never strength.

Your home stays private

Other players never see where your base really is, only near it, and they never see you at all – only your workers and armies on their way, and not within 300 m of your base.
